Elizabeth Thornburgh

Educator

Elizabeth Thornburgh is passionate about connecting individuals with autism to their community through education. Fueled by her advocacy for inclusion, she founded the business Building Abilities LLC. Elizabeth has earned a Bachelor's in Elementary Ed, Special Ed, Reading, and ESOL from the University of West Florida and a Master's in Special Education with an Autism Endorsement from Florida State University. A seasoned educator with 14 years of experience in both private and public schools, she has taught self-contained special education and inclusion support. In addition to advocating for individuals with autism, Elizabeth can joined the UWF Movement Academy as an adjunct instructor. Originally from West Virginia, she now resides in Pensacola and in her recreational time enjoys nature, yoga, live music, and cooking.
