Mercedes Athena Musto is a doctoral candidate studying educational podcasting and Graduate Research Assistant at the University of West Florida. Prior to pursuing her doctoral degree, Mercedes taught English for 6 years at the Juvenile Detention Center in Escambia county, Florida. Working with incarcerated youth alongside a team of dedicated educators has given her the opportunity to establish deeper relationships with her students and lasting memories with her colleagues. Today, Mercedes is the host of FTCE Seminar, a teacher certification podcast created for teachers candidates who are preparing for state licensure certification exams. After earning her terminal degree, Mercedes plans to continue supporting students studying for exams in all fields through educational podcasting.
